Semi-terete and quarter-terete vandas and ascocendas are such rewarding orchids to grow. They are very undemanding plants and bloom on an average of 4-5 times a year and sometimes with 2 spikes. However, the semi-terete vandas tend to grow quite tall but its ascocenda cousins are shorter, thanks to the ascocentrum influence.
I'm posting pics of V Intan x V Gordon Dillon - I've posted a pic of it before, but this is the current blooming; and the Ascocenda V Josephine van Brero x Asco Suksamran. I think this JVB cross almost replicate the salmon colour of the original V Tan Chay Yan but lacks the substance. The form for a JVB cross is not bad either.
