Little Stars with nightly fragrance

My Little Stars just bloomed and boy do we get a very nice nightly fragrance in
my garden. Anyways, Im very proud of her as I dropped her just as the new
leaf is coming out... and instead of sulking and throwing a tantrum is gave me
a spike instead. Here she is....

i have a barssavola nodosa and bc maikai my babies are still very young hopefuly next year it will be thier first bloom, can't wait for the first time i can smell them, i never smelled a nodosa nor a maikai.

Maybe she was afraid you'd drop her again if she didn't bloom

Yeah, I wish mine were scented. So far they all smell like.....plastic maybe? But they are beautiful and I love them nonetheless

Well I give mine vanda lights.... the funny thing is that after i dropped it, and the new lead broke.
about 2 weeks later its starting to form some thing, at first i thought that it might be continuing
to grow the lead, but then as the new form emerges it turned out to be a spike... so maybe the plant
thought that the new lead has approached maturity and is time to bloom. Nothing beats scented orchids...
