    Default Longwood Gardens Feb. 14th, 2010

    Spent a wonderful Valentine's Day at Longwood Gardens. They have their fantastic Orchid Exhibit now which will end March 26th-28th when the AOS has their International Orchid Show and yes lots of great vendors . These pics are just of spring flowers. The orchids will follow in another thread.

    Great pics Bill. Can you or anyone tell me what is the plant in the 3rd pic in the first post. I have one that has grown to monstrous proportions, and the thorns on it are very mean !!!

    Thanks for the memories Bill, we used to visit Longwoods several times a year when we lived in MD. They have a very nice orchid room which always smells heavenly. I was given a cutting of a Chalice vine, like the one you have pictured in the second set of pic, rooted and looking for a place in our garden. They are so lovely.
