I friend and I have been co-moderating a seminar on orchids for our learning in retirement program. As part of the seminar we placed an order for 20 budded and spiking orchids--for about $12 each.
They arrived at my house in great shape and a good mix of catts and oncidium family plants. The oncidiums were mostly in bloom and one or two of the catts were in bloom, the rest in bud. The group chose the orchids they wanted to buy and I and my co-moderator were left with 6 between us.
I happily took four, 3 of which are in bloom: Otaara Island Flare 'Frangrance' and Blc (Aloha Case x Hunting Island) 'Carmela' and Odcdm tiger Crow 'Golden Girl.' I've also included a picture of the orchid table. Oh, and the splash petal catt is the Otaara. I don't at all feel as if I was stuck with leftovers!!
