    Default Cattleya Aloha Case

    C. walkeriana and C. pumila were originally crossed to get C. Mini Purple. C. Mini Purple was crossed back to C. walkeriana to get C. Aloha Case. This cross has 83 awards. It's a fast growing orchid that blooms on a separate modified pseudobulb just like C. walkeriana. This one is very fragrant with a sweet smell like perfume that fills the entire room. 18 flowers and 4 more buds so far.

    Gorgeous plant with a great batch of flowers! Well done!

    Any idea if the fragrance is the same as Mini Purple? Mini Purple is one of those chids whose fragrance is ... shall we say "less than appealing"? ... to me.

    I have a Mini Purple but I can't remember what the fragrance was like. This one has pretty much the same fragrance as C. walkeriana and just as strong, maybe even stronger.
