So I picked one of these up today from a greenhouse. As with all new plants that I buy, I completely removed all the potting media (it was 100% sphagnum and SOAKED) and in this case replaced it with the little pumice balls. I used this over a bark/charcoal/moss mix as this is all that we have at the greenhouse here at KU for Orchid potting media. Maybe when I get it home next week I'll repot it again? Anyway, this is my first ever orchid, and I know that I can handle the watering part but how much light is "medium". To me, "medium light" is not a very quantifiable amount. No direct sun, I know, but would a few feet to the side and also to the front, where no direct light will be recieved, of a south facing window work? Thanks for the help.
