Leafless cane on Dendrobium Anosmum

I recently bought a Dendrobium anosmum called Little " Sweet Scent."
It has finished flowering,and has been repotted.
It has a large leafless cane and new green growth.
Question: is the large "bare" cane going to rebloom? Or it it better to leave it alone even if it doesnt bloom, to support the new green growth next to it?
Also, is this dendrobium the "hard cane" type?

Usually these plants bloom on leafless canes. Unless they shrivel up and turn unhealthy colors, you leave them alone. I believe this is in the nobile group...but will have to wait for someone else to give you a sure answer. In the winter, you let these go with almost no water or they give you keikei's in the spring instead of flowers....like mine.

The old leafless cane of Dend anosmum don't rebloom anymore. Better leave it alone to support the new growth which in turn bloom next spring.

Thank you for the info.
I understand that these bare canes can be divided and used to make new plants but since there is only one large cane, I'll leave it alone.
I might want to make keiki's from one cane sometime, but not until I have a larger plant with more canes.
