Phal leaves appear to have a milky substance on them

I bought my phal yesterday and maybe I'm being paranoid, but I wanted to see if this might be a concern. Though other threads came close to my issue, it wasn't quite. The leaves appear to have a milky substance on them. Not like a pest problem, but more like the leaves got wet and it's "hard" water leaving residue.

Even the base of the leaves seems to have it- almost where water sat- though I read that you shouldn't allow that. I don't know if they misted where I bought it.

But other than that, the blooms seem very healthy!

Any assistance would be great!

Looks like it is residual that could have come from hard water, fertilizer, insecticide, anifungal, or any combination of these items. It's not unusual to find and is just cosmetic.

Looks great to me...and the blooms are dynamic!

Just use a damp cloth and wipe the leaves clean. You can also clean the leaves with Sunoil insecticidal Oil mixed with water. Most likely it is as Susan described.
