No flowering stems on my Phal

I bought an orchid about 3 years ago and it has been constantly flowering. After the stem (the bamboo looking shoot with all the flowers), grew about 2 feet tall, it was done. It was too skinny, didn't produce any more flowers and eventually died. I cut it off near the root. The roots are still growing and the big green leaves still are nice and healthy. Will it spring another stem and flower again? Thanks for any advice.

Sounds like your orchid needs a rest. If it is still growing roots and leaves, it must be healthy. And if it has not spiked within a year after you had blooms, then you my need to adjust the light level and or temperature shift.

So it has been three years with out bloom?
In my opinion, I think that it has already 'rested'
I agree with Brutal_Dreamer, If the plant is growing well, it is healthy

But to flower and phal, you need to keep the light levels high, and maybe even a cool spell to force the phal into flower. Some use ferts, but I personally don't and my phals rebloom beautifuly
