In 2008, I decided to plant a mixed hedge along our fence for more privacy.
Then I thought of planting bushes with fragrant flowers which are native to the Philippines. Now I have about 6 or so fragrant plants in this hedge that keep the air perfumed from morning till night.
The first plant in the hedge is the jasmine, popularly called "sampaguita" in my country. It is our national flower. Big, glossy, dark green leaves on a semi-climbing bush. Small white flowers always in clusters.
The strong fragrance is popular in the perfume industry. Fragrant all day and all night.
