Got these from a vendor who brought them in from neighbouring Thailand 6 months ago. This is the second time they have bloomed in my place. The only info I had from the vendor is that both are niveum crosses. They are easy to grow here and seem to be very free-flowering. In fact another spike is coming up from the first plant and that will make 3 bloomings in 6 months.
I was in Singapore for 2 weeks and during that time it was raining here almost every day, thus the damaged petals on the second plant. Both plants exhibit the niveum trait of a second flower after the first has matured or dropped off. The flowers are relatively big 3.5 inches (9 cm) on the first plant and 3 in (8 cm) on the second.
