I posted this in August looking for a name and I am fairly sure the one Roy (Aust) found is what it is. It's good to have a name for a plant that flowers as well as this one, like I said it was in flower in August when I posted it last now it is away again.

It's a remarkable lip for a vanda, but after looking up the parentage I can see where it comes from. In fact one of the parents is now sometimes considered to be in a different genus - Trudelia cristata , instead of Vanda cristata- although for historical reasons they are treated as if straight Vandas when names are registered.
Its a lovely orchid , I wish it were available in Europe, but I doubt it.

Not just lovely...but very healthy a plant as well! Very very nice...if ever I stumble across one I will have to buy one. Thank you for sharing...

What a nice flower and the name is from a malay word means lovers. Nice growing Ted.

I remember this one... its difficult to forget that lip. I just hope that I'll be able to find one here.
