Help Me Pick Pleaseee!!!

So, I'm fairly new to this whole Orchid thing. I'm in College down in S. Virginia currently, and keep my dorm room around 70 oF on average. A little cooler at night. I currently have a little Phalaenopsis that I JUST got to bloom (despite some... mistakes that we won't go into right now! :-P ). Like, this bad boy is almost done opening up his one little flower. I'm so excited about it!!! Anyhow, I was thinking "hrm... what could my dorm use to give it a little more atmosphere? ANOTHER ORCHID!

SO, I was looking around, and I'm really liking a Masdevallia Minaret. So I'm thinking about ordering one, but I was wondering if you think that would be a good choice for my dorm room conditions? I have a window facing... southeast. Rather large, and it doesn't give very much direct sun at all. (There are some trees usually right in the way). We have an air conditioner that we usually keep going that provides just a little bit of a breeze to keep my orchid happy. Anyhow, help a brother out, would ya? IF there's another breed of orchid you think would be nice too, by all means throw out some suggestions! :-)

You would need to get a small fan for your Masdevallia. They need more air movement. You could look into slipper orchids, or some of the oncidium alliance.

I would go with a paph (slipper orchid). They can usually bloom in the same kind of light as a phal and require similar conditions. I wish I had orchids when I lived in the dorms.

haha, i'll go with Bulbophyllum barbigerum, i can never grow this thing at the grow area. Its for the colder places where you folks stay.

Hrm... Thank you all! Looks like the general consensus is that I should get a paph... so, as a lover of all orchids, sounds good to me! :-D Hrm... not onto the lengthy process of picking out a nice one!
