Can you tell me about the yellow and curled leaves?

This is a Cattleta Amethystoglossa H&R Supreme AM/OS x Amethystogloosa that I got the 23rd of last month. I noticed today that one leaf is yellow and the other is curling. My book says too much light or not enough fertilizer, but my book can't see the plant and I value your opinion.
What do you think is the cause and what action should I take.

sometimes its a magnesium deficiency. I would try a teaspoon of epsom salts dissolved into 5 litres of water (ive never tried this before, but it does cure Mg deficiency on most garden plants with this ration, even 2 1/2 to 5 litres.......) and then run through the roots and bark. Otherwise try a properly developed magnesium balancer.

Otherwise, it looks as though the lea is starting to die off. Unless this is a new growth, i wouldnt be too concerned.

Dendrobiums, like many orchids, lose leaves off their older growths normally. They usually slowly turn yellow, then dry and fall off. Unless you have several leaves turning yellow and dying at the same time, you are okay.

Connie, I thought it was a den at first glance, too, but it is a catt. Dave, check the roots out...always check the roots first. Almost all problems either originate with root problems, critters or fungus/virus. It looks like you may have overwatered and you have a case of root rot. See what happens when you check the roots.
