Lovely orchid named for a very lovely lady. This is one I must look for. Love the coloration of this one. Thanks for sharing.

Bill,
This particular plant you will find only in my greenhouse.
A. Chadwick registered this hybrid in 2008. They used purple plants as the parents to make this cross.
I made this cross with two coerulea parents back in 1995, but didn't registered then.
This is not only exclusive, but gorgeous to. Quite a accomplishment Horst. AL
Awesome coerulea Catt ! Congrats ! In spite of C. minipurple coerulea being the pollen parent, its contribution to from and color seems to be higher than the trianae parent except than the fuller petals. Loved this one better than the normal non coerulea form.
This is arguably the most beautiful 'blue' cattelya now!!! I fell in love with it when I first saw a picture of it. Congratulations Horst for making this truly fantastic cross. Hope one day to be able to own one of these. Thanks for posting.

Thanks for the clarification Horst, I ALWAYS mix up between the seed and pollen parent and the order in which the cross is written, off course the trianae is the pollen parent, sorry for the confusion, I think it was also a contributing factor during my earlier posts in the c. walkerinter coerulea topic.

Don't worry in this case. Both ways it is C. Michelle Obama. And both will look similar.
fantastic flower, fantastic namesake... way to go yall!!!
