It would also help to know what you mean by Cordilleras - I thought that meant Mexico , but the next (wild) Rhync'o on the Eastern side of the Pacific will be an absolute sensation !

What you need to remember is that the Philippines were colonised by the Spanish in the early 1500's, hence many of the geographical features have Spanish names, hence Cordilleras.

The fragment of leaf we can now see certainly looks a bit like a Rhynco, and whatever it is called there would be room for it in my collection !
