Does anyone know if this cross has been named? It was given to me as a gift over a year ago, and this is its first bloom C. Bactia Grapewax X B. nodosa

C. Bactia 'Grape Wax' is now Cattlianthe Bactia 'Grape Wax', and your hybrid is Bct. (Brassocatanthe) Memoria Stu Hamilton.
It is lovely![]()
Not sure of the answer to your primary question but the bloom is gorgeous!!!!
Thanks for your quick response, Mike what ref. book did you use, I need to get something for reference.

I used OrchidWiz. In the not-to-distant past, it would have taken one or more volumes of Sanders List of Orchid Hybrids.
No reference book needed to look up names or parents of registered hybrids. Just look here: The International Orchid Register
PaphMadMan, could you give me a lesson on that, what would I put where on the search engine, I assume a search is what I would be doing. Thanks for any help.
What a beauty. Love it.
