    Would miniature Phals be good candidates for attempting my first mount?

    You can try the miniature such as Phal, lobbii, parishii, kingianum and others they would love it so much that is a good idea, Zain

    I believe specie phals do better mounted than the hybrids very common in box stores, etc..

    There are several of the phal species that run quite small...I believe Zainal Abidin named a few above. I have an equestris that is mounted on a fern placque and it seems to like it mounted.

    haha, I see now, didn't know he was naming phal species, just species in general.
