    Oh, how did I miss these orchids! Wow. Such cuties! I really like the blooms on the second orchid, the Malaxis calophylla. The color really is very nice.

    Actually, Malaxis is not a member of the jewel orchid group, or the Goodyerinae. Malaxis is allied instead to Liparis and Oberonia.

    Appreciating the beauty of orchids is one thing and I'm all for it, but inaccurate identifications and the like- whether deliberate or unintentional- is another. Try to imagine a world where people who know better do not share what they know.
