    Default Bc Moon Mist "Lunar Dawn" and Blc Aloha Case x Hunting Island 'Carmela'

    Moon Mist opens almost pure white with a bit of yellow on the lip. I believe it was supposed to be a "blue," but it's a very pretty pink. The other is a very deep magenta.

    And it's been snowing here for about 2 hours with perhaps an inch or so down, but enough to take down a branch of my Bradford pear tree--which didn't fall on anything. And so far I still have power.

    Janet - what lovely catts! I love both, but the photo of 'Lunar Dawn' is extraordinary! If the actual flower is anything near as fabulous as the photo, then I have now added another must-have to my wishlist.


    How on earth did you get the lighting effect on that first photo? It looks like morning sunlight streaming over it, but the lighting doesn't distract from the beauty of the bloom. The composition of the whole photo is elegant, and your depth-of-field (the f/stop or, the area in which your camera lense focusses clearly, if you don't already know all the lingo) is perfect for showing every detail of the bloom and not picking up any distractions in the background. Really, very masterful - congratulations. (Sorry about the snow - that's one of the primary reasons I live in Atlanta now - moved from Southern Maine 5 years ago. The older I get, the colder I get, it seems.) I hope you still have power - and lots of heating fuel and a fireplace and candles and hot chocolate and.....

    The first one is Bc. MOON MISS (C. Myron x Bc. Mount Hood), it is a gorgeous flower. The second one has a great lip, love them both. Congrats

    Both are beautiful! I'd be a little upset a blue turned out pink...however, this is one gorgeous pink! It would be difficult to be upset for too long with that flower...lol!
