    Default Bulbophyllum abbrevilabium

I bought this on the first day of WOC and I have this in bloom today. Although the label reads Bulbophyllum abbrevilabium, I have some reservations. I will have to read more into the Epicranthes section to decide if its B.abbrevilabium or B.haniffii. Anyways, its B.abbrevilabium for now.

Bulbophyllum abbrevilabium Carr 1932 SECTION Epicrianthes

    Cheers

Not a pretty flower, but very interestingly 'buggy' in appearance. Is it a stinker, Vincent?

It does, indeed, look very insect-like. Cool!

That is from the section Epicranthes where extra appendages grows out from the flower. It has no smell as yet.

Very interesting...love the little blooms it has..reminds me of our bee orchid...looks like a bee to attract bees to pollenate it...guess this might do the same thing ?
