Rhyncholaeliocattleya Dandee Desire "Golden Passion"

This is an other Rlc. Dandee Desire. This plant has an interesting color pattern on the inside and as well on the outside of the tube. Everything else is in the gorgeous golden yellow color we know already from Rhyncholaeliocattleya Dandee Desire "Golden Dream".
The flower size is 10.0 cm.
The parents are C. tigrina x Rlc. Suzuki's Orient.

Very nice flowers, Horst. I've never seen Suzuki's Orient before, but this and the other clone both look like how I would expect it look. Do other clones of Dandee Desire show more C. tigrina influence? Was the tigrina you used an alba form? Has C. tigrina influenced flower count or plant size?

About the influence of C. tigrina:
This hybrid has 7 times C. bicolor in it's background. Flowers shape and vegetative parts of both (C. tigrina and C. bicolor) are very similar. Wherever we find similarity with C. tigrina it could be also the influence of C. bidolor.
Definitely the pseudobulbs are from C. tigrina/bicolor.
Some plants have the spread frontal lobe from C. tigrina.
Flower count of an adult plant is 4 to 6 flowers.
Flower size is in the range of 8 cm to 11 cm.

Remarkable is the 45% background of C. dowiana.

Horst - I find these "background" photos just as compelling as the Rlc. Dandee Desire in the thread-starter photograph. How fascinating to be able to compare them all together -

I do love the 'Golden Passion' photo, although I find the relatively less attractive leaves included in the shot (showing some mineral residue - or perhaps that's just a result of how your lighting hit them) a bit distracting, and add nothing to the portrait of the blooms. I have seldom seen that occur in your work. Not a big deal, but I know that when I've looked at my own work for a long time, I stop seeing things that later jump out at me after a little time to take a break.

I do love the 'Golden Passion' photo, although I find the relatively less attractive leaves included in the shot (showing some mineral residue - or perhaps that's just a result of how your lighting hit them) a bit distracting, and add nothing to the portrait of the blooms. They shouldn't be on a portrait of such a beautiful flower.
