Dendrochilum propinquum, Philippine Orchids

This is a Philippine endemic Dendrochilum species, we simply called it Rice Orchids or Necklace Orchids.

I previously posted this plant in the forum with no flowers, taking a wild guess that I'm trying to have it again my Dendrochilum cootesii but I haven't and maybe in my next green adventures.

In bloom and a new recorded species from Mindanao, previously recorded from Luzon.

The shot was too difficult for me in getting a better angle but it didn't work it well.

I love the name, and wonder where it cames from . Wasn't it Jimmy Carters vice-president - Walter Mondale , who said something about " Nothing Propinques like Propinquity" - and goodness only knows what that meant ?

very nice plant, i also have Dendrochilum but when i bought it its in a fern slab.... can you please suggest a good planting technique on Dendrochilum, potted, fernslab or treebound?
