Hi dear community, this is my first question so little bit nervous

I have two Phalaenopsis, one Odontoglossum and one Doritaenopsis. I'm living in an apartment facing north at one side, and south at the other. Nowadays humidity is something like %70 and temperatures like 27-35 C (80-95 F)

Because the south facing side takes direct sunlight for 4-5 hours, these guys are at the north facing side of my apartment at the windowsill. But a little low from the window level (They are sitting on a lower table). North facing side also takes direct sunlight from 8.00 to 10.00. I read that direct sunlight must be avoided but I also read if it is not appropriately lit, short exposures of morning sun can be beneficial (unfortunately I can't remember where I read it).

I made a reading with my SLR camera and convert it as described at orchidworks homepage and found a 500-1000 footcandle, but mostly closer to 500 side and sometimes even lower. Besides, as my orchids are at a lower level from windowsill, mostly flowers are exposed to direct sun. Do you think it is safe?
