What genus is ctna?
Love my ctna why not. It is one of the first orchids I posted on OrchidTalk and one of the ones that survived the freeze in the greenhouse last month. I'm so thankful it did. Yours is blooming beautifully.
Cattleytonia, which is Broughtonia x Cattleya. See here: http://www.rv-orchidworks.com/orchid...-orchidc2.html
cheers,

Harvey Cattleytonia (Ctna.) is a combination of a Cattleya (C.) with a Broughtonia (Bro.)
Selvi are there color breaks in the flower or am I just looking at light reflection?
Thanks for the link. I have already used it to look up another one of mine which I didn't understand the abbreviation of.
I'll be posting pics of the flowers as they are starting to open. 2 out of 14 are open so far. It was the other orchid purchased when I got the paph Val Ablaze.
Yes Ron there is color breaks.....and i am loving it.
Selvi...with color breaks I would be concerned that it might likely be infected by a virus.
Agree with Ron. color breaks could be due to a fertilizer burn or due to a virus. how long have you been having this plant?.
They are not color breaks, lloks more like a photo and light reflection issue and this is a nice hybrid but its not Guaritonia Why not.
Got a better picture of the same...
@ Sriram kumar and Ron : I dont think that it is due to virus coz plant is healthy and i bought this plant 2 years back... and it is continuously blooming for 2 months :-)
It may be due to light reflection as Amey said.... I could see color difference when taken in my mobile phone!!, may be i'll try with a better camera next time..
