Identification please...

More identification fun for all you orchiphiles. Ive got more unknown 'chids that Im rescuing from abandonment. I know i should just wait for blooms, but not knowing is killing me. Help! The first two pics are of one plant, the last two of another. im thinking cymbidium on the first. Perhaps some kind of cattlya for the second. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Ready...go!.

The first one looks like something from the oncidium alliance. Perhaps a miltonia or miltonopsis. These will like to be in a fine media and moist. I have my only one in sphag moss. I see many new roots coming!

The second one is a dendrobium. It's not a deciduous one so it's hard caned. These will need higher light levels

Personal problems and a gentle prodding from me made them finally fork up the collection, which had fallen into some disrepair.

Hey Aaron Bro, is the second one a Schomb? That's a large cane...maybe Den, but the size makes me wonder...

Good luck with the ID's! I love it when people ask these types of questions; it helps us all learn how to idenfity these plants when they aren't in bloom.

I'm with Smartie on 1. Oncidium and 2. Dendrobium. They look *exactly* like mine. Take good care of them; that first one has some great new growth!

I think i've got it. first one is miltonia. second one is schomburgkia. Cant wait for some blooms!

I agree with Mc J on the second one as a Schomb as for the first posibly a onc.
