Black Death ??

HELP!!!! I've got black spot! Well at least a couple of my catts do. I have never had this problem before, but my growing conditions have changed this year ---- Please look at the pictures below (sorry, I'm no photo genius), I have tried treating with Physan. No help. Starts at the juncture of the leaf or leaves and the pbulbs... but seems also now to be on the leaf edge. I now have two plants with this condition, and no quarantine space -

Diane, that stuff can be really hard to get rid of: you'll need to use something like Cleary's or Daconil as per instructions on the bottle for ornamentals, and repeat at one week intervals for three weeks in a row. Make sure you're still doing all the usual things right: really good air movement, allowing roots to dry off between waterings, humidity not over 75%. The spots won't go away obviously, but you should be able to keep more of them from appearing. To the best of my knowledge, it's fungus. Just for good measure, spray all your plants, making sure you hit the undersides of the leaves. On your Catts, peel any dry sheaths off the PBs before you spray.

Should I cut off the infected leaves?

Some people do surgery on everything to make sure any problems are gotten rid of; since that's a catt though, if it were me, I'd spray first. If the spots are still spreading, then cut. That's just me, tho.....
