    Default I Never Met A Vanda I Didn't Like

I actually purchased two Vandas last week, but only one was in bloom. The Vanda insignis X tesselleta has just started a spike and I will post this larger orchid when it flowers. This Vanda denisoniana - Mimi Palmer X merillii is the subject of these photos. I hope you like them. AL

A very interesting Vanda flower. Red on the inside & yellow on the outside. Amazing. Nice.

ps. your post heading is very debatable.

I was just trying to explain to my husband last night why I love the vanda types so much. Don't know why...I just do. It's probably the group I work hardest with and get the least results. lol Can't wait to see yours in bloom.

Gee, where do I begin? Thank you all for the nice comments they are appreciated. Naoki, yes I like our 'friend' very much and I get a 'kick' out of talking to her. Betty, no discernable fragrance that I can tell, but will try again today. Connie, I know exactly what you mean about your love of Vanda's (I just do too) and the work involved to get healthy plants and blooms! At least we don't have to worry about medium break down and repotting as with other orchids..................AL

Oh my word, no repotting is so right on! lol I have been working on killing bugs the last couple days and I know I have a dozen or so that could use repotting/mounting, etc. lol At least holding a hose isn't too bad...and on hot days the mist feels kind of good on me as well!
