I had a thread about my Phal Bellina that was just forming a bud. Well, I had a friend over admiring my babies and mentioned that the Bellina was forming a bud. She picked it up and said "Oh yes, it looks like it will open soon". I was thinking she was nuts, all it had was the little 'mitten' as Gin calls them. But DUH! The sneaky Bellina had put out another spike under one of the leaves - and there is a bud just about to open, maybe a week or two.
