IOSPE has this as synonymous with B.picturatum. I also have a plant with that label, and I can easily tell the two apart - different colour ( yellow - pink ) different sized flowers, diffrent shaped flowers, fragrant/not fragrant - and so on. But who can argue with the taxonomists ? Better to just leave the labels on and keep both names - says I !
Currently in an 8 inch plastic basket ; preently with four flower spikes open, and two more developing , but this plant has the habit of flowering from older bulbs, and there can easily be a few more before its done this time. I bought it in a 4 inch pot some dozen or more years ago , grew it up to a 15 inch pan ( 14 spikes) then when it seemed to be going downhill a bit, split it up, disposed of several decent clumps, and started again. This is the best in this second generation, as it were . Maybe it will go another couple of years before I have to start a third time ...
These bulbos' do make nice specimen plants, and are very worthwhile , as "something a bit different". I won't even start on why this is not a Cirrho' for maybe it is...
