Advice on a broken leaf

My catt fell off the bench during a storm about two weeks ago, and it did some damage to the face of the newest growth leaf and it also broke/ripped in half at the base of the leaf where it meets the psuedobulb. I was waiting until the new growth shot out a root before repotting and since it has done that now, I was wondering about the leaf. Do I rip it off of leave it?

It's your call. Typically I leave the leaves unless they are fully wilted or rotting. I believe that the plant can use some of the stored energy for net growths. Your leaf looks good still. It might even hang on as part of the functioning plant. Unless of course you don't like the way it looks, then cut it off, just use sterile tools and dust with an anti-fungal.

The cut has dried and look good. No "yellowing" that has spread further into the plant material, this indicate that everything is healthy and fine.

But if the leaf did come off, it wouldn't inhibit the growth of the psuedobulb would it?

Probably it would, as the leaf are the main collector of the light energy that is utilized in plant growth.
