There are orchids that can bloom in any season, and even the normally seasonal ones can bloom off-season sometimes. Nothing oddball about it. You're obviously doing something right, and with a nice diverse group.
All your orchids are beautiful and behaving normally. Every season has some orchids that bloom. Many orchids concentrate on growing more foliage during the spring and summer and then bloom when the days get shorter in the fall and winter. That's especially true of cattleyas.
I just assumed most would bloom in the spring and summer. If I had known I had to wait till winter I would not have been so anxious I have more Dens spiking including my Spectable that I am really excited about. My Catts have yet to bloom but only got them this year, however they are putting out roots like crazy. I also have my first Encyclia with a spike! Looks like winter might become my favorite season after all.
Great display, I'm curious what the name of the lavender/white in your second post, second photo.
I started a thread about that one when I bought it as a NOID, here is the link with the possible ID. Once it started blooming it hasn't stopped!
