    Default Finally, one of my vanilla orchids is in bud

    Finally, after 2 years of waiting, my Vanilla tahitensis has decided to flower. Yesterday I found that there were 2 buds forming. They are growing very quickly so hopefully I can post some pics of the open flowers. Just waiting for my others to start flowering.

    I don't want to sound skeptical, but I am not very sure if those are buds. I have a Vanilla planifolia and a Vanilla pompona, and neither of them flower at the apex of a growth. They usually flower at the nodes.

    Default Update on the flowers

    I've added the next picture to show the current stage of the flower buds.

    Plus I discovered another flower bud. It originally looked like a shoot but came out with more buds.

    I've been going through all the info I have on how to pollinate these if they do come out. Just hoping that at least some come out before I go on holiday.
