    Default New NoId Cattleya Orchid

    Sunday I bought this beauty. I was specially attracted by the big buds. They a a bit more open today. I can't wait to see how the bloom will be.

    Very nice buds, good shape too. Color should be a nice pink also.

    After lunch today I had time to take some pictures of it. The buds are really much more open than they were this morning. The colour though doesn't show well on the pictures (I think it's my iPad that does that. I'll have to study if there is a way to improve that). The bloom isn't pink like it seems on the pictures, but it's real purple. I'm trying to imagine something to compare it with, but I don't come up with anything. It's perhaps similar to the purple you see in Roman Catholic churches during eastern. Anyway, here are a few pics.

    Blooms further open, now.
    I've been googling for an ID and I've come up with these.
    I think the last one is the most likely. any other ideas?

    Id say its none of those mentioned sorry the shape and color patterns are not conclusive with any of these. The anther cap is distinctly different to what you suggested may be the correct ones.
