Any ideas how much sunlight is able to get through a glass block window?
I have sold glass block in the past. Glass block do come in many types. They do have some very good insulation values for heat and cold transmition. The amount of light would really depend on the type of glass blocks that you are installing. I would go to the manufactures websites to see if they list the amount of light that each of the blocks allow. I just took a look at the largest US company website with your hometowns name in it. I'll send you a PM link that might be helpful. Rich
Got it! Thanks!

The most cost effective size block is an 8" x 8" size. Based on that size the light transmission is 60%.
Hmm, interesting name ST. FYI some glass block will allow 90% light transmission. 8" x 8" may be less cost per square foot. But less light transmisson than other sizes that are available. I'm sure that the higher the light transmission will come at a higher cost per sqft. Rich
