    Cool Phalaenopsis cornu-cervi

I thought this plant would die after it got a spike that grew through the top of the plant. Instead it is blooming like never before. I'm hoping to see a keikei before I lose it. It's been a regular bloomer since the day it arrived from overseas.

I had a hybrid Phal that produced a terminal inflorescence like yours. You're right the only way to save the plant is if it produces a keiki. That's pretty likely on a cornu- cervi. Perhaps try some keiki hormone.

I hadn't thought of that. And I don't have the necessary keikei paste. I'll call around and see if I can get some. I would really love to be able to have a couple keikei's from it. It truly has been a superb plant and I do not look forward to losing it. Thank you for the idea...

You're welcome-I hope it works. It is a spectacular plant. I hope it will keep blooming for quite some time.

Very pretty! I hope you do get a keiki. And update us on the progress---I've never tried to induce keikis before.
