Received this plant in trade from a gent I know. Plant is doing "okay" but not as well as it should. I suspect my typically low humidity and/or having dried out on more than one occasion is likely the reason, though light intensity and temperature can't be dismissed yet either. The starts from a leaf cutting in my terr -- while not blooming size yet -- actually look better over all. But the main plant has given a flower or two here and there.

While our summers are indeed often just as you describe them, this has been a rather unusual one this year. While we have had some weeks of obnoxiously humid and hot (by our standards) weather, we have also had some refreshingly cool days scattered throughout. Today in fact, the weather is absolutely ideal, IMO. Currently it is about 65F (18C) -- a bit warmer if you are standing in the sun -- with RH of 62%, sunny and a nice breeze.
