Okay folks, this more of a personal opinion than something scientific. We all buy plants in bloom, and in bud which is obviously not our hard work. BUT how long do you think you should have an orchid before you can claim a spike as the reward of your own conditions? For instance - you buy an orchid and it's working on a pseudobulb. It then puts out a spike a month or two later when that pseudobulb is finished growing. Was it always going to spike becauese of previous care even if you gave it less than optimal conditions?
