Overwatered Cymbidium Orchid!

How can I rescue my overwatered cymbidium? I had it in s/h media, but found out the hard way that ONLY an orchid with new roots should be potted in leca. I have since removed the orchid,cut dead root, soaked it in root hormone, and repotted it in bark. Does anybody have advise as to what I can do, beside buying a plastic plants? My address should be 1313 Mockingbird lane; The Munster"s and I have something in common- all plants in this house die.

it is basically a waiting game now, if you are in the northern hemisphere, it should be putting out a new growth this time of year if not already. old bulbs probably won't grow new roots, but the new growths will. it could take a couple years to get to blooming again, but people often trade old back-bulbs with little to no roots to grown new plants from. it is not a total loss usually. but it takes a while.

I've just planted my 2 cyms direct o s/h and they react very well.this system you don't need to water too often specially in cymbidium that love to dry out between watering.

They're thought plants as cattleya and you need to wait for recovery as coeruleo said.good luck
