I guess for some things I just have an addictive personality. And so it is with orchids.

I have always had a green thumb for all types of plants but now I have recently gotten into the different varieties of orchids and now have the sickness. I am addicted to them.

I am currently fully on window sills and stands in front of my windows. I think there is adequate light for most varieties. But did just find an adjustable height artificial light system to sit on my table. I may have to buy a second one once I get the first one in and see how it is and how much light is supplied by the fluorescent tube.

My most recent orchid is a zygo Advance Australia. It is spiking now but has not opened yet. It will be open in the next 3 or 4 days (my uneducated guess) and I will post a picture of it at that time. It is a beauty!

Yeah, I was just looking at my bill. And I still have not been charged for the grow station (on-order) that I am setting up.

Good thing I just got a big raise at work!

Have you got pictures and names of the two in the background?

For the other yellow one, yes. The pink spider, no. They both came from the grocery store and are doing very well.

I will post the name and a photo when I get home and have access to the label.
