    Default My vandas in baskets with LECA pebbles

    This year I finished the green house and moved my vandas in as the weather got cool. Since I go to my country house mostly in weekends watering the vandas was a problem. So I made some huge baskets and filled them with LECA pebbles. The vanda roots are loose in the pebbled baskets. This way is enough if I water them once a week. 2 of my vandas are in spike now and I am thrilled.

    Wow! Looks great. I did something similar with an Angraecum and it worked well and helped reduced frequency of watering.
