    I've had good luck with my downward-facing phals on mounts...keeps the rot out!

    I haven't mounted any phals. But I do have 9 hanging in their pots from ceiling hooks. I find they love this too! I bought one phal mounted but it was mounted crown up. Fortunately, I live where it is so dry, crown rot is rare.

    All my phals are mounted, they look more natural that way and crown rot is non existent.
