This very pretty Renanthera matutina is one of our most desirable local species, occurring from our lowlands to about 2000 metres altitude. I can't take credit for blooming it as this is a gift from an acquaintance I had just met for the first time, on my recent holidays to the Cameron Highlands (our local highland resort alt. 5000 feet). Incidentally the same person gave me about 20 other plants: mostly local Bulbophyllums; a Cym chlorantum; a local Grm stapeliiflorum;a couple of Coelogyne; and 2 Paph Gold Dollar, that had been on my wish-list for a long time. He is one of the most generous men I've ever met, and this on our first meeting!
