    Default Dockrillia rigida in bloom

    such as it is My wife gives me the strangest looks when they aren't big and beautiful but it is said that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. These are the 1st flowers since this plant came under my care in September. I was a bit worried that I would kill it and still may but right now it is growing happily.

    Dockrillia has been merged with Dendrobium, then made independent again ; of course it differs in not having recognisable leaves - at least in the few I have seen . I collect dendrobiums, but have avoided Dockrillias apart from one plant which looks nothing like this, and has never flowered for me in the several years I have had it. So I am glad to see actual flowers . Well done !
