The Frame

The frame of my grow bench is done, now I need to put the chicken wire on and patiently wait for the arrival of my combo light.

Snap.I,ve been sorting the staging for my growroom.Hopefully by the end of the week i,ll be just about finished.Picking up a humidifier tomorrow , finish off the Mylar & a few bits & bobs.

I was going to get mylar, but I think for the size of room and the fact that the room is pretty bright, I decided to skip it. Sounds like you are almost complete with your set up.

With HPS & Mylar i have to wear wrap around shades to test the light levels , it,s so bright i got a head ache after 2mins without the shades.The room is about 6 foot by 6 foot & i reckon i,ll have to shade my phals to keep the light levels to about 1000 fc.

More testing defenatly needed.

My Father is building it for me. He is doing quite a nice job with it. I am going to put chicken wire arouns the sides and back for my mounted orchids. I can't wait until it is done, the suspense is killing me!

OK, now that I spilled all over my keyboard (I acted quickly and it seems to be working ok) it is a fixture that has outlets for both high pressure sodium and MD lights. A little more expensive in the short term, but no more than buying a switchable lamp and buying 2 bulbs.

that sounds awesome. that shelf looks great, too. are you putting fluorescents on the bottom shelf for seedlings or something? you should get started increasing your collection of plants right now....
maybe get a few flasks...then you could *trade* for plants that ya want!

I have some florecent light I am going to attach, you read my mind! I have also thought about getting some compots. Deflasking to me is a little scary. Maybe if I got one for dirt cheap, I'd try it. I just would hate to ruin someone time and effort in killing a flask. Didn't you get a flask?
