Yellowing leaves on Paph

I have a maude type paph that has a GREAT flower (IMHO) and I'm concerned that the leaves are all slowly turning yellow. Initially problem symptoms started with a blackened leaf tip - and progressed until I ended up cutting half the leaf off. Now the leaves are slowly fading into the sunset with just a few good colored ones left. This has been slowly occuring over a year period. Any ideas on how I can turn this around???? I'd really like to keep this plant alive! Pics following of plant and flower. Thanks, mike

As long as its the lower leaves yellowing, I would not be too concerned. Perhaps back off the light and fertilizer for a while to see if that is what is stressing it.

The leaves do look fairly light... so I would do what Diane said about the light.. The maudiae-type Paphs don't really need that much light.

oh, also, if you get any more tip ends going brown... flush the medium with plain water a couple of times to get rid of any 'salt' build up.

That is a great flower - definitely a keeper!

If it were just the lowest, oldest leaf, I wouldn't worry. But you've got several unhappy leaves there. Usually yellowing leaves is the sign of a water problem - either too much or too little. If you aren't sure, then repot it and check the roots. They'll confirm whichever it is.
