I bought three lovely species Catts from a reputable grower in early September. I repotted them upon arrival, and all three were healthy. After about 3 weeks, one of them got very sick. The p-bulbs shriveled and turned brown, and the brown spread upward from the base of the leaf. It happened rather quickly, and I cried a bit as the plant went into the trash.
It's happening again to the second of the three plants. I've never had any problem like this with my Catts, and the two plants weren't even near each other.
Is this crown rot? I didn't think Catts were susceptible to that. Is this something I should mention to the grower, or is it my culture? I've never had any trouble with Catts before.
Thus far, the third plant looks fine.
