I'm glad that you like the ambotris, the flowers are very long lasting, almost 3 months and fragrant, spicy. Its my favorite hybrid Phal at present.

BD, yes that is a piece of wire mesh rolled to form a 'log'. The phals 'lived' there for 2 years until this spring when the sphag turned ugly and I guess sour also so after the blooms spent I removed the plant and repotted. \

In fact I also have a few ones in my collection....
Most of them in Belgium are hybrids without any name tag.
But the small yellow one is a mini Phal which I bought through internet in Germany and that is a Phal. Massandra
