BEAUTIFUL Color, Good growing Gin,
Cin
Look at that gorgeous velvety redness! I need a catt like that.
Twinkle, twinkle little catt,
How I wonder where you're at,
Snug inside Gin's orchid space,
When you could be at my place!
you are using (a prosumer digital camera), or a DSLR?
With P&S, they follow certain algotrithms so that colors are not always true to form. Mercifully with my own Olympus C5060 the augmented colours are almost always desirable. Not the same with my dslr, though.
I would agree, the final colours in your photo are fabulous.
Nice bloom, Gin. I love how it sparkles.
Cheers,

That is a gorgeous flower, and Iit.
Don't feel bad, Gin, reds & dark purples are a pain in the butt to capture, IME. On the plus side, you did capture the satiny sheen quite well!
I miss my 'Dark Waters'.
Lovely photo and flowers Gin!
Are they more purple or red than pink? If so, guess this one will have to go on my list too! LOL
That is beautiful! I think you photo captured the sparkle texture and color well, but if the actual plant is better than the photo, well it must be spectacular!
