    Default Maxillaria equadorensis

    I think this Maxillaria species is very interesting.It is a cloud forest species. I also like the fact that it blooms multi times a year for me. It is synonymous with Maxillaria fractiflexa.

    Very interesting flowers..they remind me of little squid. This plant is not commonly seen. Well grown!

    I purchased from a Colombian vendor one year at the NY show. I seem to have 2 of them in my collection, not sure how I managed that?

    Those are strange blooms -- like long, old, pink fingers. Is it also fragrant?

    I thought most Max. were fragrant? It looks like it would have a real sweet fragrance. Too bad. It is still really interesting.

    The plant stands about a foot tall.

    I stand corrected, there is a mild fragrance on this one.
